Overview
Development and Production programs include Compact Towed Array (CTA), Towed Array Integrated Product Team (TAIPT) telemetry, TB-34A production and support, and TB-29 light weight tow cable production and support. We also provide support to the fleet-towed systems as a team member for the Naval Array Technical Support Center.
L3Harris' TAIPT Telemetry set the standard for submarine, surface ship and surveillance towed arrays. Our depot support activity for TAIPT components, includes failure analysis, repair, and product improvements. Towed Array Test Sets provide TAIPT users with a common test environment for in-process, factory, depot, and dockside test and checkout. Our next-generation CTA telemetry now has become the standard in current generation towed arrays.
The TB-29C is the U.S. Navy’s next-generation thin line towed array. L3Harris is the prime contractor to produce a thin line towed array passive sonar receiver that has the same form factor to the TB-29A with improved reliability.
