Crew Resource Management Instructor (CRM) Course

Course overview

Since its introduction in the early 1990s, crew resource management (CRM) has been viewed as a major contributor to the reduction in airline accidents and incidents. Under EASA regulation, CRM is a mandatory subject to be integrated into all training for aircrew.

The L3Harris CRM training course is designed to support airlines, ATO’s, ensuring their CRM instructors are suitably trained and qualified to meet EASA regulations required to conduct CRM training.

Course content

Days 1 & 2

  • Instructional techniques refresher
  • The learning process
  • The teaching process
  • Training philosophies
  • Techniques of applied instruction
  • Student evaluation, use of NOTECHS marker system, and progress and report writing
  • Practical briefing, training, assessment and debriefing exercises introduction to facilitation – theory and practical application

 

Days 3 - 5

  • Facilitation training and development
  • Practical application
  • Applied techniques
  • The ‘when to’ and ‘when not to’
  • Behavioral markers – NOTECHS (or preferred framework) - observation and debriefing
  • Human performance and limitations review
  • CRM subject matter review
  • Observation and debriefing of CRM exercises and scenarios

Please note: it is important that those attending the CRM course have previous classroom training experience and a good working knowledge of CRM, human factors and HPL.

£1,950 + VAT per candidate.
